Entertainment is my business
Monday, February 6th, 2006“I became an entertainer. People pay me for a good time”
I went way passed my goal for January. I’m more eager to try to succeed in the poker world. Instead of my original 1k goal, I mentioned that I’d try to go for 2k, however I made it to 2500 by the end of the month. Whatta rush…This is the first time ever that I actually can see poker as a potential job.
I am an entrepreneur, entertainer and an investor. I have my own business.
A friend of mine came over to watch me play because he was bored. I was doing something quite different, I was 8 tabling. He thought I was crazy because when he plays, he plays for “fun” to try to win quick cash. He never thought anybody in his or her right mind would invest 800 dollars for a full 8 table session. I told him “well by you playin for fun, you’re like all the other players…you are my customer, and I am your entertainer”. I told him that I am an entrepreneur, I am here to play 56 people at once for their enjoyment. They come to gamble for entertainment, and I provide that for them. And I get paid good money for it!
There are of course, my competitors, like any other business in the world. They are the same players that try to do the same thing that I do, make money off people who wishes to gamble for fun. Of course, I try my best to shut their company down
